Day 2- Something you fear

I fear cockroaches, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stand in a place and click a photo of it when it’s in my room. I’d probably be standing on some high-desk, four rooms away.

Or if the room is locked from outside, I’d be screaming my throats out for help.

Wait, why would anyone lock me from the outside? That sounds pretty suspicious and creepy.

Talk about nightmares.

(In a thick, slow, very slow voice) “It all started on a thuderous stormy day, when a girl was locked away in her room with only a cockroach for company-“

Okay, I’ll stop🤦‍♀️

Coming back to this challenge;

Today is Day 2 of this 30 Days Photo Challenge and as I said in my previous post, you are all welcome to participate along with me. Yeah, you can start from the middle, no problem.

How can you participate?

  1. Copy the URL of the post that has the word prompt.
  2. In the post that you are writing highlight the text you want linked to the post, click on Insert/Edit Link button, paste the post URL and then click INSERT.
  3. Finish your post and click publish.

This above method would create an instant pingback and will let me know about your post.

And here’s the image I found on pinterest that I’m using for this challenge:

That’s all with the instructions and stuff. So let’s get right into the challenge!

Today’s theme:

Something you fear

Saying the theme for like twenty times won’t get you from not attending to it, j-just get into it already.

Since cockroaches are not an option, and I’m not afraid of ghosts either (I can’t get myself to believe in them without a possible explanation, I’m sorry- but I do like the concept fascinating, which means I do enjoy a horror show or two. Don’t give me a dare to go to the graveyard at night, because I’m not doing it. Okay, where is this going?)

And since I watch Ask a Mortician videos (I’M A DEATHLING!!) , I might say I don’t fear death that much either (or do I?).

But the absence of the fear for death doesn’t mean you don’t have a scary way to die.

They are two different things.

It’s like I’m not afraid to die, but I’m afraid I’ll get roasted due to a fire in my apartment.

Okay, scary stuff.

I do have a list of some scary ways to die, but what I think stands at the topmost place is road accidents.

Yeah I know, of all the million scary ways to die, like due to fire, stuck in a natural calamity, due to a plane crash, due to drowning, due to being struck by a lightning, due to being stupid enough to enter a haunted house (Happy sleeping tonight), I chose something as, you know, less feared as road accidents?

The thing that I fear most about road accidents is the fact that in most of the cases it could have been prevented. Of course you can’t change your fate, but I think road accidents are perfect examples of the butterfly effect, where small, minor details gone unnoticed, lead to major disturbances. And that’s pretty scary, Okay!

This is a photo I clicked while travelling recently:

(I don’t have any pic with road accidents. I hope this one works. No? Then just Google some images of cockroaches)

That’s it for today. You know the rules. So just go for it. And remember to inform me about your attempt in this challenge.

See ya
