Dyeing? No, I meant the hair.

I usually don’t attempt the word challenge for The Daily Post more than one time, because I’m quite lazy to do it even once.

But I thought why not break free from the “Oh my gawd! How lazy I am😭😫” stereotype and actually give another attempt at this word prompt.

So here we go.

Recently, going to the hair salon to get a front hair cut, I suddenly decided I needed to dye my hair. And just out of the blue, I knew it had to be “blue”💙 (Get the pun?)

And this was my dream hair at that moment:

But instead of listening to me, the stylist goes all like “No!! You need to bleach your hair for that. And then there are a hell lot of complicated steps involved and in the end it’s not going to be worth it. And c’mon, do you really want people staring at you all the way down the street with such non-stereotypical colour (this post makes it sound like the prompt was stereotype when it isn’t. Eh, who cares🤷‍♀️) and you need to think about maintenance and the quality and… blah blah blah…”

So, I settled down for this:

(That’s me btw, and that’s my cat in the corner)

Not like it isn’t good or anything, but I’m not content until I actually get blue streaks.

And another complaint:

When it’s still wet, some strands look like they are still black😫 and haven’t been coloured at all. Same when I have my hair in plaits. And I have my hair in plaits like all the time.

But apart from that it has been a nice change. Most people are shocked that this nerd is changing to the point that it is getting hard for them to contemplate, but seriously, like who gives a damn?

If I wasn’t so “incognito” about my presence here, I would have definitely shared a selfie or two, but sorry for the disappointment👅!

K, Bye!
